La Cachette Bed and Breakfast is close to Sarlat and Domme in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne. Situated in an elevated position overlooking the village of Grolejac with wonderful views down to the Dordogne valley. The river Dordogne winds its way past the village.
La Cachette sleeps up to 5 adults in 2 large comfortable rooms, with exposed beams, seating and a hair dryer in each room. Our rooms are named after 2 of the local chateaux:
Montfort: Large double with wonderful view and a large private shower room.
Fenelon: Large double (with additional single bed) with ensuite shower room.
There is a sunny terrace where guests can relax with a glass of wine and take in the view. A terraced garden with sun-loungers. Our generous continental breakfast is served on the terrace or in the beamed salon where there is a log burning fire out of season.
Wifi internet access. Private parking for 2 cars. Sorry but no pets and we cannot accommodate children because of the terraced garden.
Locally the village of Grolejac offers: 2 restaurants (one with a bar) within walking distance, a large lake with sandy beach, canoe hire on the river, an excellent cycle path (we have 2 bikes for hire) and a tennis court. Local shops include a supermarket, baker and butcher for all your picnic items. We have a picnic basket for guests to take out with them or for snacks on the terrace. A golf course and horse riding facilities close by.
