Kelsey House is located in the heart of Truro and allows up to 8 people to be comfortable in this well appointed holiday home for a special relaxing break.  Everything you need to make your stay as memorable as possible has been provided - perfect for enjoying Cornwall.

The four bedrooms - 2 large doubles and a twin upstairs, and a futon sofa bed in the small 2nd sitting room downstairs - all have a TV, DVD player and freeview.  Free use of a TomTom satellite navigator for your car (pre-programmed with all the key attractions) will allow you to easily enjoy Cornwall.  A completely free business centre comprising of a solid wood desk, ergonomic office chair, highspeed broadband, full colour printing, desktop business computer with Microsoft Office, laptop connection point and a large selection of rechargeable batteries and free telephone (UK & International) calls.

The master double bedroom has an en suite shower room with wc, whilst the family bathroom has an over bath shower and separate wc.  There is constant hot water and dual zone central heating ensuring your comfort at all times.  The gas log burner effect fire in the lounge provides a focal point during the winter months and the feature fire place in the dining room adds a finishing touch to the large well appointed room. There is Sky+ provided with sports and movie channels, in addition to the large selection of books, games and dvds to make your visit all the more enjoyable. 

The bedding is 100% cotton and the plentiful towels are large, white and fluffy.

The Lounge, Dining room, Fitness room and Terrace have simple to use Multi-Media players pre-programmed with playlists for every occasion, delivering 100’s of tracks from every era. Additionally we have provided CD players for your own CD’s and portable amplified speakers for your MP3 players.

For those who want to spend Christmas away from home, look no further – Kelsey House is available fully decorated with a large 8ft Christmas Tree in the lounge and the wrought iron chandelier in the dining room (with real candles) makes for a very special Christmas. 

The large south facing terrace comes complete with a covered wrought iron gazebo, bbq, garden furniture, arbour, numerous plants (and an automated watering system) making the perfect spot to relax after sightseeing or your visit to one of the many beaches on your doorstep.  The large gazebo provides welcome shade on hot days during the summer months.  The barbecue and gazebo allow the terrace to be enjoyed on those long holiday evenings. 

The outdoor laundry / fitness room is adjacent to the terrace and has its own wc. It comes complete with a running deck, exercise bike, free weights and washer dryer.  No need to bring detergents etc – all that will be available for you.  A beer fridge here also allows for drinks on the terrace to be on hand.  There is even room adjacent to the terrace for you to keep your bicycles if you choose to bring them - Cornwall has a large number of off road cycle paths for you to enjoy.

However,if you are unfortunate enough to need to visit someone at Treliske hospital in Truro, and need to have emergency accommodation available for yourself and your family, then this house is ideal. It is only a five minute drive away, and a few minutes walk from the bus route. The free telephone facility means you can easily keep in touch with the hospital and be only a few minutes away if they need you.

For anyone considering plastic surgery in Cornwall - this is the perfect place to recover.  Comfort combined with daily deliveries of bread, milk and groceries gives you the privacy you need, when you need it most.

A complimentary welcome pack will be awaiting your arrival – which will include wine and beer chilling in the American style fridge. In addition to the free welcome pack, you will have fresh milk and bread delivered each day, free of charge. A newspaper delivery can be arranged if you would like to have one.  Just let us know.  Anything else you think you might need? Just let us know ..... Our aim is for you to have a holiday to remember - one of comfort and easy living.

The ice dispenser makes preparing cold drinks much easier! If guests wish to order groceries on line for delivery during their visit to Kelsey House, just let us know. The kitchen comes fully equipped with anything you might wish to use while on holiday – there is even a rolling pin for those who wish to bake.

The kitchen is very well equipped and should have everything you need to cook your favourite recipes.  The large table in the dining room provides ample space for everyone to be able to sit and relax during dinner - and perhaps enjoy casino games afterwards - even a roulette wheel is provided for your entertainment!

Everything you might need is provided – detergent for the dishwasher, towels, hairdryer, ironing board, candles, torch, chargers for mobile phones, etc.  If you’re not sure if we have something, just let us know your concerns – we will do whatever we can to make your visit more enjoyable and relaxing.

Although children are welcome, parents of very young children should be aware that stair gates are not provided, nor are highchairs etc. Specific provision for the safety of young children has not been made.  Please feel free to call to discuss any concerns you may have in this regard. 

We are fortunate enough to have secured the services of a CRB checked babysitter from June through to September. This wonderful young woman is available at specially negotiated rates, and can be highly recommended. Please remember to let us know if you might need her services well in advance, so that we can make the arrangements for you - she may not always be available for last minute bookings.

To the front of the house is a typical english garden, surrounded by mature shrubs. To the rear of the property is a very large private southfacing terrace, with lawns and patio areas - and is home to the gazebo (covered during the summer months). There are potted palms etc all adding to the holiday atmosphere - and all watered by an automated watering system. The gazebo allows impromtu bbq's whenever you please. The laundry / fitness room can be found adjacent to the terrace and is equipped with a running deck, exercise bicycle, free weights etc. There is a washer dryer and an additional tumble dryer if required. Next to the laundry room is an additional WC, for convenience when on the terrace. The terrace provides access to the driveway and garage - which has an electric door for ease of use.  There is ample room for bicycle storage.

Towels and bed linen are all provided (excluding beach towels).

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to visit.

The house is totally non-smoking and, for the benefit of future guests, we reserve the right to charge up to £200.00 to deep clean the house if smoking has occurred. All gas and electricity is included, based on normal / reasonable usage. Excess use may result in a further charge. A free telephone is provided for the use of guests. subject to Sky Talk's Acceptable Use Policy.  Telephone calls made that result in a charge by the service provider will be charged to the guests’ resident at Kelsey House at the time the calls were made.

You can arrive at Kelsey House after 1600hrs (4pm) on the first day of your booking, and you must leave by 1000hrs (10am) on the last day unless otherwise arranged.

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. A Good Housekeeping Deposit is also required at the time of paying the holiday balance - this is returned within 7 working days of the last day of your holiday subject to there being no claim on it.. Things To Do Truro is situated on main line rail links from London and Bristol, by air to Newquay (Cornwall) airport who have a wide selection of inbound routes and by road just off the main A30. Car hire is available at the railway station and airport. National Express coaches are available at the main bus station in the centre of Truro, just a 10 minute walk away from the house. The railway station is only a 5 minute walk away.

The nearest ferry route goes to Plymouth from Spain, once in Plymouth you can get to Truro easily by train or car.
What's On Picturesque villages dot this area and there is always something happening in the summer months that range from local festivals to outdoor activities. There is an abundance of culture, heritage and spirit in this area. Sample the wonderful Cornish cuisine or watch the sun set whilst enjoying cream tea and cakes in one of the many cafes.

Although Truro gives you easy access to bars, restaurants and shopping, it also retains a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere For those of you who can’t resist shopping you will find a mix of big name retail outlets and smaller eclectic shops – and if you’re a fan of local produce there is a weekly farmers market where you will find a large selection of local specialities.

The ferries available from the centre of Truro provide easy access to Falmouth, whilst the nearby train station allows you to travel all over the County without the use of your car.

Numerous flights land everyday at Newquay Airport, from across the United Kingdom and Europe making Truro easier than ever to visit. Car rental is available at the airport.

Wherever you stay in Cornwall you will want to visit the capital of Truro - making Kelsey House ideal. We are situated in the heart of Truro, on a quite residential road yet still only a 5 minute walk from the city centre and all it has to offer (including night clubs, pubs and award winning restaurants). Truro is the 'must see' city in the Westcountry and is ideal for visiting major retailers, local craft shops and browsing the French market that frequently visits the Lemon Quay Piazza. The awe inspiring cathedral climbs skyward out of the very centre of the city and accommodates the famous painting by John Miller of ‘Cornubia’. With fantastic rail and bus links throughout the county, and being only 30 minutes from the airport you don’t really need a car, but if you brought one, you have the option to park it up in Kelsey’s large remote controlled garage and forget about it for the duration of your stay.

Cornwall's scenery changes every couple of miles, from upland heath to wooded river valley, hidden coves to rugged cliffs, making it a premier holiday destination as it offers something for everyone. You might wish to relax and bask in the sunshine on one of the many golden beaches that adorn the miles of rugged coastline around Cornwall or explore the moorlands and cliff tops.

The timeless quality of Cornwall is shown in the landscape and attractions such as the Eden Project. The many towns and villages have their own unique quality and traditions, often shown at annual events. Whatever you decide to do is likely to give you access to amazing scenery and you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of dolphins playing in the Ocean.
